At Glory to Glory, we love to tell to the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the Gospel, the love and power of God is shown. In Jesus, our salvation is possible, and it’s available to all who would receive it. God’s pure, selfless love moved Him to send His one and only Son as a man so he could pay the penalty for our sins. Then God resurrected Jesus from the grave, alive for ever more. He was seen, touched and heard by more than 500. Then He returned to His throne in heaven. Through this death, burial and resurrection Jesus purchased our complete deliverance.
Now the rest is up to you. This salvation from Jesus can only be obtained one way: you must believe that Jesus is who the Bible says He is, and make Him your Savior and Lord. All who do this are spiritually changed, born of God, and become something new in this world: a child of God, with His spirit residing within. And you open the way for God to work in your life, changing and teaching you, and to prepare your place in heaven.
Our desire is that you would do just that: let Jesus be your Lord and Savior, let God become your heavenly Father and let the Holy Spirit transform you into all you were created to be.
Then, come and worship with us. We’d love to hear your story, and maybe Glory to Glory is the place God wants you to be!
Statement of Faith
- The Scriptures
The Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible Word of God. It is God’s revelation of truth to man, and is the sanctifying authority for every Christian.
(2Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21; John 17:3)
- The Godhead
There is one God, creator of everything, existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is eternally existent, eternally perfect, and eternally the same.
(2Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
- Man & his fallen state
Man was created in the image and likeness of God and was crowned by God with glory. However, man fell from that glory through disobedience, and brought death to himself and all creation.
(Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Psalm 8; Romans 3:23, 5:12-21)
- Jesus: Son of God, Son of Man
Jesus is completely God and completely man. He left heaven and was incarnate and born of a virgin. Although tested in every way, He remained sinless. Therefore, He could redeem fallen man and obtain salvation for man through His sacrifice and shed blood on the cross. Jesus died and was buried, but arose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father, where He lives to intercede for us.
(Philippians 2:6-11; John 1:1, 14; Hebrews 4:15, 9:12-15, 7:25)
- You Must Be Born Again
To enter heaven you must be born again. This happens when you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. This new birth is a regeneration of your spirit, and makes you a child of God and a new creation in Christ. It is a gift of God through Christ alone; it cannot be obtained any other way.
(John 3:3; Romans 6:23, 10:9-10; Titus 3:5-6; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 14:6)
- Blessings of Salvation
Salvation is the wholeness that Jesus obtained for us through His death and resurrection. This includes health, safety, deliverance, prosperity and preservation in this life and the resurrected life to come. The promise of Salvation is assured in Christ.
(John 10:10; 2 Peter 1:3-4; 1 John 5:11-12; 2 Corinthians 1:20; 3 John 2)
- Life of the Christian
We are to live according to our new life in Christ. We are to partake in water baptism, baptism of the Spirit, and the Lord’s Supper. We also are to be devoted to attending services, daily prayer and Bible reading. We must actively edify each other and promote the gospel by using the gifts and abilities God has given us.
(Romans 6:4; Colossians 1:9-11; Galatians 5:25; Hebrews 10:25)
- Destiny of the Christian
All Christians are to be transformed from a newborn child of God into a mature Christian; transformed from glory to glory into the image of Christ. We press on to take hold of this, forgetting that which lies behind, eliminating that which produces corruption, and establishing ourselves in that which pertains to life and godliness.
(2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:10-14; 2 Peter 1:3-8)
- Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the indwelling gift of the Father to every Christian. He comforts, counsels, leads, teaches, reveals and encourages us in every truth in Christ. He helps us to pray. He transforms into Christ’s likeness and enables us to do the works God has called us to do, so that Christ may be glorified in us.
(John 7:37-39, 14:16-17, 15:26, 16:7-14; Romans 8:14-16, 26; 1Cor. 12:1-11)
Without faith it is impossible to please God. We are justified through faith, healed through faith, stand in faith, prosper through faith, and walk by faith. We live by faith. Therefore, we are fully persuaded that God will do that which He has promised.
(Hebrews 11:6; 2 Corinthians 5:7; Romans 1:17; Romans 4:18-22)
- The Church
The Church is the people born again in Christ. Collectively, we are His body. Separately, groups of us join to form smaller bodies or churches. Our leadership comes through those functioning in the ministry gifts given by Christ, and we work together to achieve our part in the overall plan of God.
(1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:11-16)
- Jesus’ Return, the Rapture & Reign
Jesus is coming again. He will be ushered in with a trumpet blast, a shout, and the voice of the archangel. He will wait in the clouds as all Christians, dead and alive, are raised in glorious new bodies and are joined with Him forever. When Jesus returns to the earth to reign for 1000 years, we also will return to reign with Him.
(Acts 1:11; 1 Corinthians 15; 1 Thessalonians 4; Revelations 18-19)
- New Heaven & Earth; Lake of Fire
At the end of Christ’s Millennial reign, the devil, all evil spirits, Death and the grave will be cast into the Lake of Fire. All people who have not received Jesus will be bodily resurrected and also be cast into the Lake of Fire. God will create a new Heaven and Earth, and we will live with Him forever in eternal life.
